The Saddlers arrive at the final game on the back of a 3-2 away defeat to Stevenage, and have won just two of their last ten league games as their slump continues, with just two wins in the last fifteen games.

Walsall's only absentee is defender and Under-21's coach Dean Holden who continues to miss out with a long-term injury. Right-back Ben Purkiss could be back in contention after recovering from an eye injury.

Colchester, who are 18th in the league are all-but secure in League One as they hold a large goal difference advantage over 21st placed Tranmere Rovers.

The U's head into the game on an encouraging 4-2 victory over relegation threatened Carlisle United, but have won just three of their previous ten games and will be hoping to end the season on a high after a lengthy battle against relegation.

In terms of head-to-head,it's all square with twenty-three wins a-piece, there have also been sixteen draws.
