As reported last week, hot-prospect Liam Kinsella has put pen-to-paper on a professional contract at Walsall Football Club.

Liam, the son of former Saddlers midfielder Mark Kinsella, has made his way through the ranks at the Banks's Stadium, earning much praise from staff and players alike, with his consistent level of performances and drive to improve.

Kinsella penned a fifteen-month deal with the club and is keen to make an impact in the very near future.

Liam spoke to Saddlers.co.uk, and expressed his delight at his new deal; "I am absolutely delighted to have signed this deal. I'm really looking forward to being part of the first-team squad and can’t wait to get started.

"I feel that I have progressed well over the past two years. I have been with the club for ten years, but working under Neil Woods and Graham Biggs has really seen my positional play and tactical awareness improve. I know that the hard work is only just starting, though, and it’s time for me to knuckle down and continue to learn.

"Seeing so many lads come through the ranks here and make it into the first-team really motivates me. I look at what the likes of Jamie Paterson have gone on to achieve and I know that I'm at the right club to develop me as a player. I certainly have the desire and willingness to work; the set-up and the coaching staff that are in place here will give me every chance to progress and I intend to take this opportunity."
