As usual the draw is split into four sections; Northern Section East and West and Southern Section East and West.
Walsall are in the Northern East Section along with Bradford City, Burton Albion, Hartlepool United, Notts County, Scunthorpe United, Sheffield United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Walsall's possible opponents are, Accrington Stanley, Bury, Crewe Alexandra, Fleetwood Town, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town or Tranmere Rovers.
Meanwhile, the 16 clubs that have been given a bye for Round One;
Northern Section; Carlisle United, Morecambe, Preston North End, Rochdale, Chesterfield, Mansfield Town, Rotherham United and York City.
Southern Section; Crawley Town, Newport County, Oxford United, Swindon Town, Coventry City, Peterborough United, Southend United and Stevenage.
The ties will be played during the week commencing 2nd September 2013.
