The Saddlers faced this weekends opponents Bury in October, during the club's mid-season slump, which saw them win-less in seventeen, then, The Shakers were held to a draw in an encounter which columnist Sam Wright described as "an away point in a tough division, but it is more the performance that will disappoint those who also travelled up to Bury" in his Match Report.
With so many teams within a few points of each other, this weekend is a make and brake for The Saddlers play-off hopes, however, regardless of the outcome, this season can only be seen as a successful one, to be ending it in the top half after beginning the campaign as relegation favourites is a huge achievement for a side which had battled relegation for successive seasons.
Unfortunately The Saddlers still have a couple of niggling injuries going into the weekend, club captain Andy Butler and left-back Andy Taylor are both set to miss out again with a broken toe and a hamstring strain respectively.
The referee assigned the game is Surrey-based Darren Sheldrake who has issued 94 yellow and two red cards in twenty-eight games.
