21-year-old Saint Kitts and Nevis international, Sawyers came through the ranks at The Hawthorns after joining the club in 2004, and made his debut during the final game of the 2008/09 campaign.
He signed a professional contract the following summer, but missed much of the following season with a knee injury.
Romaine has also spent time on loan with Port Vale and Shrewsbury Town, he will wear the number 33 shirt and may debut tomorrow versus Yeovil Town.
