SADDLERS SUFFER DOUBLE INJURY BLOW

On-loan Belgian Under 21 International midfielder Florent Cuvelier suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury during Walsall's npower League One home tie with Stevenage.
During Tuesday afternoon's npower League One home tie with Stevenage two Saddlers players picked up injuries.

On-loan Belgian Under 21 International midfielder Florent Cuvelier suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury, the fan favourite pulled up during a Saddlers attack after only eight minutes of play, he was immediately stretchered off and replaced by James Baxendale.

Flo is expected to return to his parent club Stoke City for treatment and is unlikely to make a return to The Banks's Stadium.

Just half-an-hour later left-back Andy Taylor suffered a groin strain and was replaced by youth prospect Malvind Benning.

Taylor has already missed a spell with a similar injury and looks set to miss more time as he begins his recovery.

With the transfer window opening today Walsall will be hopeful of securing adequate replacements for their fallen stars in the not too distant future.
