Earlier today Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side made the short trip north to take on Port Vale, in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.

The young Saddlers, who suffered their first defeats of the season over the past few weeks, got back to winning ways, defeating Vale 3-1, thanks to two goals from Levi Rowley, and a Kyle Rowley penalty, all of which cancelled out Vale's early opener.

The result keeps the Saddlers top of the table, on twenty-five points.
