VOTE FOR BANKS'S STADIUM

The Wolverhampton Civic Hall is set to have some much-needed refurbishment, and as a result could be temporarily moving, bosses are currently scouring the Black Country to find an alternative, temporary venue to host some of the biggest names in pop and rock.

Amongst the potential host venues are, Dudley Town Hall, Wolverhampton Racecourse and even Dudley Zoo!

Walsall Football Club have also thrown their hat into the ring, and would like supporters to help their cause by voting for the club's Banks's Stadium in a poll on the Express & Star website.

In a statement released via the clubs Facebook page, the ask for your support; "With plans recently announced to refurbish the Civic in Wolverhampton, it means that the iconic venue would have to be temporarily relocated whilst the work was carried out.

"There are some big names in the music industry, the likes of Robert Plant, Bob Geldof and Paul Weller, who are due to perform at the venue, so now the hunt is on to find a replacement within the Black Country.

"The Express & Star newspaper are currently conducting a poll on their website in which Banks’s Stadium features on the list of potential temporary homes for this fantastic venue, which celebrated its 75th Anniversary last year and has played host to some of the leading names in music and comedy during the past eight decades.

The Banks's Stadium currently has 51% of votes cast.
