Slinn 'Delighted' to Become a Saddler

Following the news that he'd joined the club on a one-year deal, former Port Vale goalkeeper Joe Slinn has spoken to club journalists and welcomed the opportunity to link-up with the Saddlers.
19-year-old Slinn, who will spend the season on loan with local side Rushall Olympic - a team which he is familiar with thanks to a spell towards the end of last season - praised manager Dean Keates before discussing what he will be getting up to during the week.

Speaking via the club's official website - Saddlers.co.uk - Joe said; "I am delighted to be here. Everybody dreams of becoming a professional footballer. The club are in League One and hopefully we have a big season ahead of us. The manager has been really supportive.

"I was at Rushall at the back end of last season, we had a good run and hopefully we can kick on again this season. It’s really important at my age that I am getting game time and getting more experience and I can’t wait to get back out there. I will be training with the first team squad here during the week and then going to Rushall to get my game time."
