The Trust | 2017 Christmas Toy & Food Appeal

3:46 pm Thursday, 30 November 2017
The Walsall Football Supporters' Trust have confirmed the details of this season's Christmas Toy & Food Appeal, with collections set to take place at Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 9th December.
The Walsall Football Supporters' Trust have confirmed that this year's Christmas Toy & Food Appeal, which will be in aid of Walsall Manor Hospitals Children's Ward and The Black Country Food Bank via The Thomas Project, will be held at Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 9th December, prior to the Saddlers' League One clash with Scunthorpe United.

A statement, released via the Trust's official website WalsallFCTrust.org.uk, confirms; As always, members of the Trust Board will be on hand to collect your donations of new toys and items of non-perishable food which will then be forwarded to the Children's Ward at the Walsall Manor Hospital and the Thomas Project respectively, helping to bring a little joy to those families a little less fortunate over the festive period.

The toys will be taken to Children's Ward by the Walsall FC first team as part of their annual visit to the Ward and the Trust will deliver the items of food to the Thomas Project in plenty of time for the Christmas and New Year period.

There will also be a bucket on hand for any spare change you may have on the day, the proceeds of which go towards the purchase of items needed for the family rooms at the hospital as well as gift bags for the neo-natal unit and further food items for the food bank.

Please bring something along on the day for this more than worthy cause, even if only a little loose change and help us try and make just a small difference this Christmas.

Your generosity has amazed us over the years we've been running this appeal and we're sure you won't let us down this year either, for which we thank you in advance.
