Walsall Take Stourbridge Striker on Trial

According to media reports, Walsall have taken a locally-based striker on trial as manager Jon Whitney looks to add to his squad ahead of Transfer Deadline Day.
Walsall have taken Stourbridge striker Jordan Archer on trial as manager Jon Whitney looks to add to his strikeforce with current options somewhat limited by a lack of experience.

23 year-old Archer, who is based in Walsall, began his career with nearby Chasetown, where he progressed through the youth and development ranks into the first-team.

After making his Scholars debut Jordan went on to gain experience with spells at Cradley Town, Tipton Town, Tividale, Redditch United, Boldmere St. Michaels and Bedworth United before joining the Glassboys in November 2016.

Archer, who stands at 6ft,3in tall, is currently the leading goalscorer in the Evo-Stik Premier Division with five goals in four games and is said to be on several other club's radars as he continues to make a mark in the early stages of the 2017/18 campaign.
