The Rumour Mill | Turkish Clubs Linked With Walsall's Erhun Oztumer

Turkish media reports suggest that there is plenty of interest in Walsall attacker Erhun Oztumer, who enjoyed a superb 2016/17 campaign.
As Walsall's disappointing summer continues, reports in Turkey are linking attacking midfielder Erhun Oztumer with a £500,000 summer transfer, with up to four clubs believed to be tracking his progress.

halkinsesikibris.com suggests that Konyaspor, Kasımpaşa S.K, Eskişehirspor and Ankara based MKE Ankaragücü are all keen to sign Erhun, who scored fifteen goals in forty-five first team appearances during his debut campaign at Banks's Stadium.

It is reported that 26-year-old, Greenwich born Oztumer, who won last seasons Players' Player of the Season award, is keen to remain in England and play at Championship and Premier League level, but may be open to a return to Turkey if such a move is unavailable.

There is no doubt that Walsall, who will not comment on transfer speculation, will not have welcomed the apparent contact as they are keen to retain Erhun's services with manager Jon Whitney looking to rebuild his squad around the diminutive attacker, who could prove crucial during the upcoming campaign.
