HomeServe to Give Lucky Saddlers Fans the Chance to Meet Their Heroes

Club’s principal partner launches selfie competition #SaddlerSelfie to celebrate the launch of new home and away kits. The most creative selfie wearing the new kit will win the chance to win an exclusive third kit plus they will meet the team at the club’s open training session later this summer.
A pair of lucky Walsall fans will have the chance to get their hands on the club’s brand new third kit before anyone else as well as meeting the team at an open training session later this summer, thanks to the club’s principal partner HomeServe Membership.

To mark the launch of the new home and away kits for the 2017/18 season, the Walsall-based home assistance provider is challenging supporters to wear either of the new designs in the most creative places imaginable!

All they have to do is take a picture of themselves – or get a parent (if aged 15 or under) to take one for them – and upload it onto HomeServe’s Twitter or Facebook pages with the hashtag #SaddlerSelfie.

And the supporters with the most impressive entries will win an exclusive limited edition third kit and get to meet the team. An adult supporter will meet the players, whilst a younger supporter will win the chance to lead out two players at the club’s open training session later in the summer.

HomeServe Membership, which employs 1,700 people at its headquarters in Cable Drive, Walsall, and a further 1,500 around the UK, has been a proud supporter of The Saddlers since signing its first sponsorship deal with the League One side in 2014.

Last month, the firm confirmed a new five-year sponsorship deal with the club which will run until the end of the 2021/22 season, taking HomeServe’s support to eight years and making it its longest ever community sponsorship commitment.

HomeServe Membership Brand Director, John Greaves said; "We think the new kit looks fantastic and we are excited to offer two lucky fans not only the chance to be the first to get their hands on the new exclusive third kit, but also such a special prize of meeting the team.

"The open training session will also feature a family fun day for the local community, something that really reflects what HomeServe is all about, having been based in Walsall for more than 20 years. We can’t wait to see the entries as we know Walsall supporters are a creative bunch so are sure the selfies will be impressive!"

The red home and black away kits – designed by Errea – is on sale now from The Club Shop at Banks’s Stadium. Brand new replica training wear will also be available.

The competition now and the deadline for entries is July 24. Entries should be submitted via HomeServe’s Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/HomeserveUK/ or via Twitter @HomeServeUK with the hashtag #SaddlerSelfie. The winner will be announced on July 31 and all entrants must be available on that date.
