Walsall midfielder Florent Cuvelier, who has recently enjoyed an extended spell in the first-team, was substituted during the first-half of the Saddlers' Sky Bet League One clash with Scunthorpe United after challenging an opposing player for possession of the ball.

Cuvelier, who has started the last twelve games after returning to full fitness, was involved in a challenge with Iron midfielder Levi Sutton around ten minutes before the end of the first-half, and after a brief spell of treatment was escorted off the pitch and down the tunnel with Kieron Morris taking his place in the side.

Following the game, which ended all-square as neither side was able to grab a goal, Walsall manager Jon Whitney spoke to the press and offered a brief update on Flo's condition during which he confirmed that he and his backroom team believe that Flo has sustained a calf injury and could miss the next few weeks with the 24-year-old expected to undergo further assessment at Essington on Wednesday.

The news will no-doubt be a concern as Flo has an extensive injury history and the games continue to come thick and fast as we enter the business end of the season.
