Walsall Football Club have today confirmed the loan signing of Celtic defender Eoghan O'Connell, as manager Jon Whitney looks for greater defensive solidity over the second-half of the season.

News, released via the club's official website Saddlers.co.uk, confirms that the 21-year-old, Republic of Ireland Under 21 international will join the Banks's Stadium club until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

The Club are delighted to confirm the loan signing of Celtic defender, Eoghan O’Connell, until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

The 21-year old has featured seven times for the Scottish Champions this season including three Champions League qualifiers and a group game against Barcelona.
