Of the twenty-one games played it's the Cidermen that hold the overall lead, with eight wins to the Saddlers' six. There have also been seven draws during the fixture's history.

Their first meeting took place at Fellows Park on Saturday, 12th December 1936. The match, which was in the Second Round of the FA Cup, ended one-all, with the Saddlers winning the replay by one-goal-to-nil just three says later.

Their most recent meeting took place at Banks's Stadium, on Tuesday, 19th August 2014, and ended 2-1 to the visiting side.

James Hayter had opened the scoring for the Somerset men before being pegged back by a Tom Bradshaw equaliser.

Kevin Dawson put his side back into the lead just moments later and secured all three points in a rewarding away trip.

Liam Kinsella and Ashley Grimes were booked for the Saddlers, whilst Yeovil's Jakub Sokolik, Nathan Smith, Sam Foley and Ben Nugent were all shown a yellow card by referee Jeremy Simpson.

Walsall haven't defeated Yeovil in eight games, with the Saddlers losing four and drawing for since they won 3-1 at Huish Park on 1st December 2009, Darren Byfield, Steve Jones and Sam Parkin's goals more than enough to secure the three points, despite Jon Obika's 30th minute strike.
