Walsall manager Dean Smith has today spoken about his continuing search for a new striker, as the Transfer Window edges ever closer to Deadline Day.Smith had hoped to sign a forward early last week however the deal, for an as yet unnamed player, fell through, leaving the manager keen to manage fans' expectations - as the search continues.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “There is movement but that is all it is at the moment. We are hopeful something will be done early next week.
“But at the same time I was hoping for that early last week as well and it never happened, so we will have to wait and see.”
