According to Sky Sports reporter Amy Lewis, Premier League Swansea City have tabled a bid 'in excess' of £5,000,000 for Watford's former Walsall striker Troy Deeney.
According to Sky Sports reporter Amy Lewis, Premier League Swansea City have tabled a bid 'in excess' of £5,000,000 for Watford's former Walsall striker Troy Deeney.

26-year-old, Birmingham-born Deeney, who was released by Aston Villa at the age of 15, is regarded as one of the best strikers outside the Premier League having notched over 20 goals and several assists, two seasons in a row.

After a spell in the Saddlers' youth and reserve sides Troy made his Walsall debut during the 2006/07 season and went on to make 136 appearances for the Saddlers, scoring 27 goals,

Following a summer of speculation he joined Watford in August 2010 on a two-year contract, for a fee believed to be £350,000 up-front along with up-to £150,000 dependent on appearances (£2.5k per app), this also included a sell-on fee believed to be in the region of 15-to-30%.

Several other Premier League sides including, Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United and Southampton are also said to be tracking the front-man.
